Our Story
International Children's Wellness was born from a simple but powerful conviction: that every child — no matter where they were born, how much their family earns, or what resources are available in their community — deserves access to timely cancer screening, advanced treatment, and the emotional support needed to heal.
As high school students, co-founders Aditi Kuthanoor and Shritan Pothini saw firsthand the chasm between where cancer research stands and where it actually reaches. They saw children in Seattle and in Bangalore facing the same disease but vastly different realities. The research existed. The treatments existed. But access? That was a different story.
"Being young isn't a reason to wait. It's a reason to start."
So they started. What began as a local initiative — handwritten cards for children at Seattle Children's Hospital and a dance fundraiser at Issaquah Community Center — has grown into an organization with 21+ chapters across 4 continents, $5,000+ donated to hospitals globally, and 200+ care packages delivered to children in treatment.
ICW proves that youth can move the world. One card, one event, one chapter at a time.
