Fundraising
Richa Ghawande
I am a dedicated high school student with a passion for medicine, youth advocacy, and community service. After earning my black belt in karate during training in Japan, I’ve continued to channel that discipline into leadership and impact-driven work. For the past three years, I’ve fundraised for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, personally raising over $8,500 and helping my teams raise more than $22,000. Now serving on the Junior Leadership Committee, I support upcoming campaigns and mentor new fundraisers. As Vice President of WeCare, a women’s empowerment nonprofit, I helped organize efforts to fund HPV vaccinations for girls and women in India in partnership with Veerni. I also compete in DECA and am deeply interested in pursuing a career in pediatrics, where I can combine my love for medicine with my passion for supporting children and underserved communities.
